Land use planning is transforming our living environments. Our experts dissect the issues raised by current events and share the news and ideas that make us progress together.
BC2 has submitted its memoire to the OCPM’s public consultations on the City of Montreal’s draft 2050 Urban and Mobility Plan. Another great opportunity to challenge ourselves on the metropolis’s living environments, while aiming to improve the effectiveness of the PUM as an urban planning tool!
With the insight of our experts in urban planning, landscape architecture, strategic planning and urban design, the team approached the issues from our unique point of view, as a multidisciplinary firm working at various scales across the territory. Our recommendations take into account both the feasibility and desirability of urban strategies.
The PUM must be improved to offer clearer guidelines that will lighten the burden on boroughs while supporting coherent, sustainable and inclusive urban growth.
We look forward to discovering the other briefs submitted and wisely following the next steps towards the adoption of the PUM 2050.
