A grant for innovative planning and development practices

Chapters

BC2 and Université de Montréal join forces to celebrate outstanding students in the Environment and Sustainable Development Master’s program. The BC2 “Innovative Practices in Planning and Development” scholarship will be awarded for the third time. This year’s winner, Ludovic Tiam Pazoubissi, will receive $5,000 towards his research project.

Ludovic Tiam Pazoubissi, a student in the Environment and Sustainable Development Master’s (with thesis) program set himself apart this year on the strength of his academic record. Through his project, Ludovic studies the effects of chemicals (pesticides, glyphosate) on agricultural ecosystems and human health. Put simply, his project aims to complete gaps in knowledge by thoroughly evaluating the effects of these substances on various crops in controlled environments. He intends to examine how these chemicals affect plant growth, development and health, as well as their impact on soil biodiversity.

“Being awarded this grant means so much more than just financial support. It represents a mark of confidence and recognition that further strengthens my determination to pursue my studies with excellence. I also want to express my deep gratitude to BC2 Groupe Conseil for their generous support. Their investment in the education of students like me is a testament to their commitment to the advancement of knowledge and development. Their contribution is not just a financial award, but an investment in the potential and future of each recipient of this scholarship.”

Thanks to BC2’s grant, Ludovic will be able to focus fully on his academic and professional goals, whilst putting aside the financial constraints that can be an obstacle to research.

“At BC2, we understand the scale of the challenges that must be overcome to deal with various environmental crises.  We are keen to support the research and innovation that will be central to finding solutions to these challenges. We’re delighted to offer Ludovic this grant, as his ambitious project tackles a key issue for the protection of biodiversity and the quality of the environment. Congratulations Ludovic and good luck.”
