A HARMONIOUS DIALOGUE BETWEEN CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE AND THE RIVER LANDSCAPE
The landscape architecture project for the LUM Pur Fleuve complex aims to harmoniously integrate the three residential towers into their natural environment along the St. Lawrence River. Designed to promote relaxation and community life, the project showcases the landscape while reflecting the contemporary architecture of the buildings.
The use of materials in black and anthracite tones, in keeping with the tower facades, ensures a modern and elegant visual identity. Heat island reduction is addressed through permeable concrete paving on roads and pedestrian pathways. A central outdoor plaza, oriented toward the river, offers relaxation spaces and recreational areas to encourage community life.
One striking feature of the project is the large central water basin, designed to extend the visual experience of the river and create a unique living environment for residents. Its landscape design, inspired by the contemporary style of the towers, reinforces the site’s aesthetic coherence. The project also includes a community garden and various multifunctional outdoor spaces, encouraging an active and social lifestyle. Overall, the development reflects a commitment to a sustainable living environment, integrated with its surroundings, offering residents enviable access to nature and exceptional views of the St. Lawrence.
